Sybil came to us in 2023, at approximately 3 years old and was suffering from undetermined incontinence.
Through some trial and error, we have been unable to determine the actual cause of the issue, however, we have been treating her with medication which has improved her quality of life immensely as she is no longer losing urinating as much. Through care and love, and the dedication of her foster family, Sybil is on the mend and no longer suffering from burns on her bottom either.
Sybil was a girl who had been moved between several homes, and having a stable home environment has allowed her to start trusting again. While she does not like her medication, she has stopped nipping as frequently. She also has allowed her foster mom to bathe her regularly without too much fuss, contributing to her improved quality of care.
Sybil has been deemed a long-term permanent foster with FRES. She will stay as a foster and in our care for the remainder of her life, in order to ensure that her medical needs continue to be met. You can donate to their long-term care through our donation link.
Walter (Rainbow Bridge) and Doris were surrendered to FRES in early 2024. This pair were approximately 6 years of age when they came in, and nameless.
Doris very recently lost her life partner Walter (Sept 2024) who was the sweetest boy, who despite his old age, found so much joy in every day and tolerated sassy Doris. Doris is not "other ferret" friendly however, so she will remain as a solo ferret.
Doris is a petite, sassy and spunky old lady, who tolerated Walter as a partner. In recent months we have determined that she has a heart condition that is causing her heart to be enlarged. We are currently managing this through medicinal treatment with the support of our vet. Doris is doing very well, living out her life as a happy senior.
Due to her serious medical needs, Doris is currently considered a long-term foster. You can donate to her current medical and daily care through our donation link.
Ady came to Fres in 2022 when he was 4 years old. Ady is a sweet gentle boy and has been a loner ferret, never having a cage mate and is fine with that.
This sweet boy loves all the soft blankets in his cage and other spots throughout the house. He hasn’t been too playful with all his ongoing medical issues but still enjoys a good toe chomp. His playful antics are just all about nibbling on his humans toes and he has great strong teeth so they are definitely felt.
Ady has several medical issues which include adrenal disease, cancer and incontinence. Ady has daily meds 2x, to slow down the cancer growth and monthly Lupron at the vet and every three months he also gets a melatonin implant for his adrenal disease.
Unfortunately due to the adrenal disease and incontinence, he does require frequent baths to keep him clean. Ady is a sweet boy always happy to spend time with his humans but he is also a very fragile ferret and is mostly naked other then his head.
Due to his advanced medical needs, Ady is currently considered a long-term foster. You can donate to this current medical and daily care through our donation link.
Levi, Link, Winston and Sonja were surrendered to FRES in 2024. This group of 4 ranges in age from approximately 2 years to 5. They are all very good-natured ferrets, showing no signs of aggression, and are bonding well with their new foster humans.
This is a lovely and gentle group of 4 who are well bonded to eachother. They are playful, and active, yet not too crazy. They have been introduced to other ferrets and appear to be fairly accepting of others who are similar in personality.
Winston is the oldest of the crew, and is currently being treated for Insulinoma and Adrenal (Lupron). Levi is also being treated for Adrenal (Des implant). There are currently no long term medical concerns with Link or Sonja.
We anticipate that they will be available for adoption soon! If you are interested in meeting them, please reach out via our adoption page.

Remus & Noel were surrendered to FRES in 2024. This bonded pair are both approximately 5 years old. They are very friendly, well-handled ferrets. Remus is a light sable/champagne male, and Noel is an albino girl.
Remus is a very sweet boy, with a kind personality. He seeks assurance and attention from his owners and doesnt venture far. Noel takes her lead from Remus, although she can be a bit sassy on occasion and a light nipper when playing too rough. They are a wonderful pair of ferrets, who are generally more laid back, and they would make any home happy.
They have been introduced to other fosters and it does appear they may be a suitable option to introduce to existing ferrets depending on personality. Both showed a little rough play, but no agression.
Both Remus and Noel have received their DES implant for treatment of Adrenal. Otherwise this bonded pair is in good health and will be available for adoption soon! If you are interested in meeting them, please reach out via our adoption page.

Charlie & Remy were surrendered in spring of 2021 and are now around 5 years old. Charlie & Remy are inseparably bonded and the very best of best ferret friends.
Charlie is a task oriented, 'all-about-important-business' male ferret with champagne coloration. He is quite pragmatic and a very sensible ferret as far as ferrets go. Charlie has had trouble with chronic mouth ulcers ever since being surrendered and requires meds and regular vet checkups. He also cannot and will not eat hard kibble, so he gets special Charlie soupies for meals 2-3x a day. He gets quite insistent if breakfast isn't served on time at 7am every day.
Remy is a happy-go-lucky classic sable male and very laid-back fun-loving ferret. He is the Yin to Charlie's Yang and loves anything but serious business. Remy seems to be in great health and has an effervescent zest for games of chase, tussel, and any other hi-jinx he can create when he's not napping and making adorable ferret snore sounds. Remy is also a great cuddler, affectionate and is an all-around joyful ferret who is always lovely company to his human & ferret friends.

Bubbles is a 3.5-year-old marked, dark-eyed white who came to FRES at the start of 2024, who lives up to her name as an excitable little girl.
Since being in foster care, this little girl has adjusted beautifully and come out of her shell. She's learned what it is to be a ferret, to dook, to war dance and play, and to recognize that other ferrets are potential friends. Her biting has all but disappeared, though she can still nip. She loves to dig in her rice box, play and stash her stuffed toys that crinkle, and chase her foster mom and dad around the house and up and down the stairs. She's working on her bathroom habit while free run, as well as her manners as she's a little girl who loves to play a little rough, and nipping is still common. When excited she will jump at her foster family, leaping in the air to tag a calf muscle or back of the leg; she will occasionally nip the tops of bare feet.
Bubbles recently had one of her canines extracted for a broken tooth, which has healed well and doesn't affect her at all. She was also recently diagnosed with adrenal disease and is currently on monthly lupron.
A little love bug once she gets to know you, she doesn't cuddle yet, but will give kisses once she trust you and you trust her not to nip.Bubbles requires a home and family who can be loving and patient with her play time nips and continue her required medical needs for her adrenal diagnoses. She is not recommended for a family with children, though she has shown some interest in other ferrets and may be a potential playmate for the right someone.
